The Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada, has vast lakes, rugged hiking trails and lush forests. However, this picturesque location was devastated by wildfires in 2017, 2018 and 2021 – killing forests, scorching the soil and destroying over 1.3 million hectares of land crucial to local wildlife and Indigenous communities.
In collaboration with Zanzibar, this collaborative project is dedicated to restoring the land through a reforestation initiative aimed at assisting natural regeneration and restoring the forests to their former glory and importance.
